The Oak Park Church of Religious Science
Choir performs once-a-month during our Sunday Celebration as well as special performances throughout the year.
The OPCRS Choir is directed
by Dr. Harry Steckman, an accomplished and well known musician in the Chicagoland area and Artistic Director of the
Steckman Studio of Music in Oak Park.
Rehearsals are once-weekly
at 8:30 am Sundays in the Church Sanctuary at 6832 W. North Avenue, Suite 2B, Chicago.
Anyone who has a desire to sing and
to share their talents in a musical way is welcome to join the Choir at any time. We
are especially interested in male voices joining the choir to expand the harmony. Any
questions can be directed to Lola Harrison, Music Department Chairperson.
The Oak Park Church membership
has enjoyed the Choir's monthly performances, as well as their special holiday performances. The Halloween Concert
with the "Holy Ghost" Choir was a smash hit! As was the beautiful performance
at our annual Christmas Party.
